Dear Bright Youth Members,
We are excited to announce our upcoming events for January 2025 and invite you all to join us in making a positive impact in our community. Here’s what we have planned:
GRACE Weekly Food Distribution
When: Every Thursday from 3-7 PM
Where: GRACE, 100 Morris Ave, Summit NJ 07901
Details: We need volunteers for two shifts: 3-5 PM and/or 5-7 PM. Help us support the community by distributing food to those in need.
Summit Library Annual Art Show
When: Saturday, 1/4, 2:30-4:30 PM
Where: Summit Library, 75 Maple Street, Summit NJ 07901
Details: 5-6 volunteers are needed to help post all artworks on the wall
Summit Library Chinese New Year Celebration Venue Setup
When: Friday, 1/24
Where: Summit Library, 75 Maple Street, Summit NJ 07901, &
Summit YMCA, 67 Maple Street, Summit NJ 07901
Details: We need volunteers to help set up the venue
Summit Library Chinese New Year Celebration
When: Saturday, 1/25, 2-4 PM

Summit YMCA, 67 Maple Street, Summit NJ 07901
Details: We need volunteers to serve as MC and assist with various activities and food tables.
Crochet Club
When: Every Thursday from 5-6 PM
Where: GRACE, 100 Morris Ave, Summit NJ 07901
Details: We need 1-2 volunteers to work as teaching assistants.

When: Sunday (12/8, 12/15, and 12/22) from 11AM-1:30 PM
Where: Summit Farmers Market 22 Deforest Ave, Summit, NJ 07901
Details: We need 4 volunteers to host a donation table at the farmers market.
Fun Science & Math Club
When: Saturday,12/14, Science 2-3 PM; Math 3:15-4:15 PM
Where: Summit Public Library Hickok Meeting Room
Details: We are looking for 1-3 high school students each time to volunteer as teaching assistants.
Inclusive Trail Hike
When: TBD (We will inform you in our Bright Youth Members WeChat group)
Where: South Mountain Reserve, Lenape Trail, 197 Glen Ave. Millburn NJ
Details: Join us for a special hike with children who have special needs. This is a wonderful chance to engage in a meaningful activity and make a difference in these kids’ lives.

When: Thursday, 12/12 and 12/19 from 5-6 PM
Where: GRACE, 100 Morris Ave, Summit NJ 07901
Details: We need 1-2 volunteers to work as teaching assistants.
6. Rubik’s Cube Corner
When: 12/6 and 12/20, Friday, from 3-5 PM
Where: Summit Public Library
Details: We are looking for 1-2 high school students each time to volunteer as teaching assistants.

Dungeons & Dragons Club
When: Every Thursday (7/11, 7/18, 7/25) from 5-7 PM
Where: Summit Public Library
Details: Join us for an adventure in our weekly D&D club designed for students G6-12. All levels of experience are welcome. Each session is a self-contained adventure, so no need to attend every week. Come and enjoy an evening of fun and games!

Details: We are looking for about 6-7 high school students each time to volunteer as math tutors for students Gk-8. This is a great opportunity to share your knowledge and help others improve their math skills.
